OOhyes has partnered up with Bauer Media to provide strategic and buying support on a new out-of-home advertising campaign that seeks to spread positive messages during these challenging times.
Centred on South Yorkshire, the ‘Good People, Doing Good’ campaign will present real-life, feel-good stories from within the community. Powered by Hallam FM, the creative idea is an extension to the station’s Big John @ Breakfast show, where listeners phone in to nominate NHS workers, delivery drivers or kindly neighbours who are making a real difference in the area. The billboards will be talked about in the show as part of a concerted effort to lift spirits and recognise real-life heroes.
To facilitate the campaign, Bauer Media and Hallam FM reached out to us to help plan and buy remnant site inventory in the South Yorkshire area. A template allows new artwork to be loaded within 24 hours of the nomination being received by phone, demonstrating the ever-evolving evolution of OOH as a dynamic medium.
Commenting on the campaign, OOhyes CEO George Rossides said: “At a time when the world has shuddered to a halt and normality has been tipped upside down, it is incredibly uplifting to see the great work people are doing to support NHS, key workers and others within their local community.
“It really does reflect how the nation has come together and remained positive in support of one another. I am very proud to be working with HallamFM to acknowledge local heroes through the power of outdoor.”
Hallam FM, added: “Radio is once again proving its place as a trusted source of information in the wake of Covid-19. Hallam FM offers the same entertainment while also reflecting the relevant facts related to the crisis. We felt it very important that we lift our focus to celebrate the incredible people helping to keep our communities going and part of that was saying thank you for key workers.
“OOH inventory in South Yorkshire has allowed us to place the message roadside where those key workers are still commuting. We needed solutions for a specific budget at a fast pace to mirror our content stream on air. George at OOhyes didn’t just meet that challenge; he made it easy and impactful for us.”
